Ingredients

This frozen kiwi sorbet is made with just two ingredients!
Kiwi fruit. I've made this small batch sorbet for two people, but you can easily scale it up. You'll need 2 kiwi fruit for each serving. That counts as one of your five a day and will provide the entire daily value of your vitamin C as well as a number of other vitamins, minerals and healthy fibre.
Honey. I added just one tablespoon of honey for the batch. You can vary this slightly depending on the sweetness of your kiwi fruit and your own personal preference. Use maple syrup for a vegan alternative.
How to make kiwi sorbet
Peel the kiwi fruit. Trim the ends and then pare away the skin with a sharp knife or potato peeler. Cut into 5mm slices.
Line a baking tray with baking paper and arrange the kiwi slices in a single layer.

Freeze until firm. Mine were frozen after an hour, but you could leave them for a lot longer if that is more convenient.
Add the slices of kiwi fruit to a food processor or blender. Add a spoonful of honey and blitz on full power. The fruit will start to break down and look powdery.
Scrape down the sides and continue to blitz until the kiwi fruit starts to turn creamy. Switch off the processor as soon as it starts to soften.

Spoon the kiwi sorbet into bowls and serve immediately.
Recipe tips
If you only have a large food processor or blender, you may need to double the recipe quantity so that it blends well.
I find the tartness of kiwi fruit and the sweetness of honey a perfect combination. But you can add your own twist with a squeeze of lemon or lime juice, or some mint or basil leaves, which both complement kiwi.
If you've got lolly moulds, you could also use this recipe to make healthy kiwi fruit lollies or popsicles. Set the kiwi lollies in the freezer for a couple of hours.
Serving and storage
I'd recommend serving your kiwi sorbet immediately.
However, if you want to prep this healthy frozen fruit dessert ahead of time, pop it back in the freezer. Leave to soften out of the freezer for 5 minutes before eating.
Decorate with a few mint leaves if liked.
Other healthy frozen fruit desserts
Healthy berry nice cream and chocolate cinnamon nice cream are both frozen desserts. They are made with frozen fruit, so they are ready to eat immediately, and there's no ice cream maker required. They are dairy free with no refined sugar.
