Luscious tahini caramel is a delicious sauce or topping made with healthy ingredients. This vegan caramel sauce recipe, made with tahini and maple syrup (no refined sugar!) is ready to eat in 5 minutes, with no cooking and just 3 ingredients!
Measure the tahini and maple syrup into a small bowl.
50 ml tahini, 50 ml maple syrup
Stir well until thoroughly mixed.
Add a tiny pinch of salt to taste.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Notes
If you prefer, runny honey can be substituted for maple syrup.
Healthy tahini caramel sauce can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. You may need to stir the caramel before serving, as the tahini will separate.
For a thinner caramel sauce, add a little non-dairy milk or extra maple syrup.
A tiny pinch of salt enhances the flavour and sweetness of the caramel, but omit it if you'd prefer. For a true salted tahini caramel sauce, add a quarter teaspoon of salt.
