Equipment

  • food processor or hand blender

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large ripe avocado
  • 2 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoon cocoa
  • 2 tablespoon milk any, see recipe tips above
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch salt

Instructions
 

  • Halve the avocado, and remove the stone and skin.
  • Add the avocado along with all of the other ingredients to a food processor or blender. Blitz until well mixed and creamy. If necessary, scrape down the sides of the bowl and reprocess.
  • Ideally, chill for an hour before eating.

Notes

For a healthy chocolate orange mousse, add a little finely grated orange zest.
